Our aim is to raise funds so that each year we can support some needy children from Meisori Primary School through their high school secondary education. In addition, we would like to continue to provide some equipment to Meisori School to enhance the experience of its pupils during their primary education.
In 2008 we paid the fees for two 14 year old boys, Victor and Vincent, through their first year at high school and we provided (through a local carpenter) one batch of 25 desks for the Primary School in April and a further 25 in September.
In 2009 we have continued to support the two boys as they go into their second year of high school, and in addition eight boys and girls who passed their national primary exam who started at high school in January. A number of trustees visited each of the children at their respective high schools in September as well as spending some time at Meisori Primary School.
The Friends of Meisori School is a charity that was set up in December 2007 with the aim of assisting this particular primary school in rural Kenya.
